Canada Day in Creemore

Creemore celebrated Canada Day with extra enthusiasm for the sesquicentennial with parades – the annual Harold Crawford Memorial Kids Bike Parade organized by Corey Finkelstein and a transportation and dress from Canada’s 150 years organized by Pauline McIntosh and Ken Day. The Legion hosted an afternoon of games and everyone was well fed by the Ladies Auxiliary and the firefighters.

Lorna May (above centre) was named Lady of the Year by the Legion, with Legion members (from left)Norm Nordstrom, Clearview Mayor Christopher Vanderkruys, Legion president Jim Richards and Jim Henderson making the presentation. Bob Stephenson was named Man of the Year but he was unable to attend the presentation.
