Car thieves caught in the act

Dufferin OPP were called to a County Road 21 home in Mulmur shortly before 5 a.m. on Jan. 15 after a homeowner heard a commotion outside.

Upon arrival, police found a man who was attempting to take the homeowner’s vehicle.

Upon further investigation, two other men were located and all three were arrested and charged.

Ryan Henry, 29-year-old from Chatsworth, Stephen Kelman, 36-year-old from Grey Highlands, and Craig Whitmore, 26-year-old from Hanover, are charged with possession of property obtained by crime. Henry is further charged with trespassing at night, refusing to comply with a drug demand, and theft of motor vehicle.

They are to answer to the charges in Orangeville court.
