Clearview council supports Polished Man Campaign

 In Community

Mayor Christopher Vanderkruys invited male members of Clearview council and staff to paint one of their fingernails with nail polish Oct. 16 in support of the Polished Man Campaign. With October being Child Abuse Prevention Month, Vanderkruys took up the challenge by Simcoe County Warden Gerry Marshall. The campaign started in Australia and encourages men to paint one of their nails with nail polish to represent the one in five kids who are subject to physical or sexual violence before the age of 18. The nail polish acts as a conversation starter about child abuse and what can be done to combat it.
