Clearview library has new apps to help readers browse

It’s APPY DAYS now at the Clearview Public Library!
We have two new Apps available that will make your life easier if you like to access your Clearview Public Library account from cyberspace.
Be one of the first to find a title by remote catalogue search and then reserve (renew) it straight from your mobile device by using the Simcoe County Libraries APP.
With the Libby OverDrive App, you can now read eBooks and audio books from your library on your phone for free. Drop by one of our three branches for assistance or if you have any questions about these emerging technological tools.
It is starting to feel like Christmas every day with all of the holiday book releases that are starting to arrive in-house. They can be found on our new releases shelves close by the circulation desks.
Also by the circulation desk, you will find the collection bins for knitted blankets, gloves and hats for our annual Giving Tree.
These will be donated to local charities after Dec. 17. If you need yarn, please come or call the Stayner Branch at 705-428-3595 as we have plenty of wool to give away for the creation of these handcrafted items.
Our silent auction is now also on display at the Stayner Branch. The last bid will be accepted at 8:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17 and the winners will be notified on Wednesday, Dec. 18. (Special Note – We are still accepting your generous donations of items for this fundraiser.)
Christmas at the Library is just around the corner and Herald the Library Dragon will be hosting our traditional After-Party at the Creemore Branch from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7. Please join us after visiting Santa Claus at the Creemore Log Cabin.
Have you ever wondered how a dragon celebrates the holiday season?
Our Library Dragon will show you his holiday styling by offering lots of free family holiday crafts, good company and hot soup to “you and yours” at this time.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Creemore branch of The Clearview Public Library, 705-466-3011, for all of your celebratory needs!
