Clearview to get new websites

Clearview council has settled on a designer for the township’s new websites.
BC based UpAnUp Studios has won a contract to develop and implement a new corporate website and a microsite for tourism, recreation and lifestyle information.
The cost of the new website came in at $52,000, with the microsite costing an additional $10,000.
“As a requirement of the request for proposal (RFP), UpAnUp Studios Inc. did provide a price for the development of an online facility booking system. Staff are planning to meet with user groups to determine interest and to identify technical considerations of implementing such a system. Staff will bring back a report to council about the online facility booking system at a later date,” reported communications and marketing coordinator Tim Hendry.
According to the RFP, the website will act as the primary information source for township news, announcements, information, documents and municipal services. The website will also serve as the primary customer service touch point for residents, local businesses and visitors. The overall design should be visually appealing, easy to navigate, accessible and user friendly.
The website is to launch in September.
