Creemore artist, Sue Miller, of Mill Street Art Studio, is currently donating time as curator and program coordinator for Stonebridge Art Gallery, operated by The Wasaga Society for the Arts.
She has organized the current student exhibit which includes all grades from the Stayner Collegiate Institute and Collingwood Collegiate Institute secondary schools. There are 35 works of art created by students with some incredible talent and effort.
“Their art teachers have put in a great deal of effort to frame the work and deliver the pieces for this exhibit. It is a must see,” said Miller.
The exhibit runs until Jan. 30, Thursdays and Saturdays, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There are multiple exhibits booked into the New Year.
The Stonebridge Art Gallery is a not-for-profit arts organization run by volunteers. The mandate of the gallery is to operate as a public art gallery, showcasing emerging, mid-career and professional regional artists from the South Georgian Bay area and beyond, as well as offer community programming and special exhibits to engage the community. It opened its doors August 1 with a group show of local artists. Membership is free for artists and they are not charged commissions on the sale of their work.
The gallery is located at 1 Market Lane, Unit 8 (upstairs above Bulk Barn) Stonebridge Plaza, Wasaga Beach.
