Team win-loss-tie

Baylis 1-0

Steed 0-1

Crawford 1-0

Walker 0-1

From the Hack: Draw 2 brought some familiar faces back to the Ladies league as well as rookie Chantelle. She showed good form thanks to attending Sunday’s curling clinic. Wins by Team Crawford and Team Baylis as we begin the quest for the Foodland Trophy.

Did you know? Curling is known as ’the roaring game’ which refers to the sound the rock makes travelling over the ice. The playing surface isn’t smooth but actually covered with droplets of frozen water ‘pebbles’.

McDougall 2-1-1

From the Hack: On Monday morning, Marty, Linda, Liz and Michael threw some excellent shots to secure an easy victory for Team Loranger over Team Martens. On the other sheet, Ron made a few “TSN highlight” shots to help Team Coulter overcome the challenge from Team Bell. In the afternoon, Teams McDougall and Steed battled it out in a close match. Team McDougall bettered their opponents by two points. (BTW, the homemade cookies and butter tarts were delicious!) Good curling everyone!
