From the Hack: Unfortunately curling was cancelled on Monday due to inclement weather. Wednesday had spares Rick and Wayne playing for Team Loranger as they faced Team McDougall. Marty stepped up to the challenge of playing vice for Team Loranger and was able to make most of his shots setting up the house for fairly easy draw shots from the skip Michael. Team McDougall struggled to keep pace with their opposition and had to settle for loss. Team Steed managed an easy win over Team Bell. Good curling everyone!

From the Hack: Blue stones won both games this week. On Sheet 1, tied after seven ends, Team Walker won thanks to zealous sweeping by Abbey. Boisterous game on Sheet 2 with Team Baylis taking an early lead in the standings.

Did you know? Although blue and red are the most common colours for handles on stones at curling clubs, yellow and red are the standard colours in major tournaments.
