DanceRoom sees successful season

Competitive students at The DanceRoom closed their season with a bang! The team of 75 dancers were very successful at competitions in the GTA, Alliston, and Blue Mountain this spring.

The competitive dance team earned 15 trophies total, representing high scores for their age divisions in a number of styles including hip hop, ballet, musical theatre, contemporary, jazz, modern, tap, and hip hop.

Many routines earned national scholarships, including invitations to dance as a part of an elite team in Disney World, Florida.

The team was presented special awards for emotional intensity, costuming, choreography, characterization, and much more.

Twelve of The DanceRoom’s competitive numbers will be preparing for national competitions at the Nottawasaga Inn and Deerhurst Resort this July.

New members along with the current team will be training this spring and summer, taking ballet and conditioning classes, and gearing up for auditions, intensives, workshops, and fall choreography.
