Does time heal all wounds?

 In Opinion

It has been more than three months since we learned that TD Canada Trust would be closing its Creemore branch on May 4. The angering news prompted residents to lobby the bank to keep the branch open, or at least consider maintaining a bank machine.

The bank didn’t budge on the former but has said it is working on securing a location to set up a bank machine in Creemore.

The time for the promised information session has arrived, where we may hear more on that.

While we can’t imagine this being an open mic, foot stomping type of meeting, the information session may reveal some of the bank’s exit strategies.

The community’s anger seems to have subsided, and though the bitterness has not, it is not as powerful in motivated people to attend public meetings. We have no idea what to expect from the info session but if anyone would like to learn more, the meeting will be at Station on the Green on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.
