Farms for Change charity hits $1M target

Sam Roberts Band was the surprise performer at The New Farm’s Farms for Change on June 15.
Although this year’s total has not been tallied, over 10 years the event has raised more than $1 million for Community Food Centres Canada, The Stop and Regent Park Community Food Centres and local food banks. About 1,000 people make the event a success – including attendees, volunteers and the many chefs from 15 restaurants and other food providers.
