Festive RIDE campaign underway until Jan. 2

Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are ready for another Festive RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) Campaign, which runs until Jan. 2.
Officers will be out at various locations throughout Dufferin County ensuring people are driving sober this holiday season.
A few things they would like to remind you of:
Novice, young (under 22) and commercial vehicle drivers cannot have any alcohol or drugs in their system while driving.
Always plan your ride home prior to attending an event, whether that means having a designated driver, calling a cab or staying the night
If you suspect that a person is driving or about to drive impaired by alcohol or drugs, you should call 9-1-1 to report them to police.
Everyone plays a role in ensuring that our roads are safe and that everyone has a safe and happy holiday season. No Drugs, no alcohol, no victims.
