Joan Gibson, of Thornbury, passed away peacefully at Meaford General Hospital on Friday, March 1, 2019 in her 80th year. Joan was the wife of the late Robert Gibson. Loving mother to Shawna, Heather (Craig), Earla-Lynn, Boyd (Tanya), Lloyd (Sherry), and James Gibson. A cherished grandmother of Cory, Malcolm, Emily, Cessalie, Thomas, Tristyn, Samuel, Kayla, Jordan, and Ethan. Joan will be missed dearly by her friends at Maple Villa Apartments in Thornbury. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life that will take place at Maxwell Community Centre on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 2-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Ontario Association of the Deaf or the Ontario Deaf Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
