Born and had fond memories of growing up in Creemore, Ontario. He faced many health issues in the last few years of his life and yet exhibited a tenacity of spirit and a dogged determination to live his life to the fullest. On June 6, Vic died peacefully in the chair he loved to sit in. He was in his 84th year and was married to his dear devoted Leota (nee Austen) for 58 years. He was a loving father to Mark (Beth) and Erik (Andrea) and a devoted Papa to Nathaniel, Cameron, Patrick and Kassandra. He is survived by his sister Margaret, sisters in law Donna and Mary and brothers in law Bill (Marylou), Doug and Johnny and special friends Stan and Florence Nickerson. He was predeceased by his parents George and Beatrice, brothers Rea and Sam, sister in law Betty and brother in law Allan. He was loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Vic loved fishing, gardening and enjoyed woodworking, especially making toys for his grandchildren. He was retired from Port Weller Dry Docks and was an active member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Port Dalhousie. A service of celebration for Vic’s life and faith was held on June 12, 2018. He was interred in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Port Dalhousie.
