Libraries plan owl themed March Break activities
Hoot have thought it would be so easy to find fun and free things to do with your children this March Break?
On March 11, swoop on over to the Stayner Arena for a free skate hosted by the Clearview Public Library and the Stayner Lions Club from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
On March 13, the Stayner Branch will be hosting a Family Story Hour and Wood Guardian Owl Craft at 10 a.m. followed by Owl Crafts Multi-Media Program at 2 p.m. If you’ve got a tween or teen, St. John Ambulance will be holding a Babysitter Course ($65) and a Home Alone Course ($45) at the Clearview Township Office. On March 14, prepare to be owl-mazed by the Wye Marsh Birds of Prey Show being held at the Stayner Community Hall at 10:30 a.m. and the Station on the Green in Creemore at 1 p.m. Tickets are free but necessary; get them at any branch of the Clearview Public Library.
On March 15, the Sunnidale Branch will be hosting a Family Story Hour and Wood Guardian Owl Craft at 10 a.m. followed by Owl Crafts Multi-Media Program at 2 p.m. At 11 a.m., join us at the Creemore Branch for You Just Don’t Understand. This free workshop targets parents and children aged 10-16. Elizabeth van Ryn will be discussing effective communication, why it is impossible to read someone else’s mind, and what your family is really trying to say. On Mar. 17, the luck o’ the Irish is with you because all branches of the Clearview Public Library will be hosting drop-in Owl and Leprechaun crafts from open till close.
To close off the week, put your skates back on and fly over to the Creemore Arena for a free skate from noon to 1:50 p.m.
