Licensed patios allowed to expand

The region is entering Phase 2 of the government’s plan to reopen the province
Effective Friday, June 12 at 12:01 a.m. a number of workplaces will be allowed to open, as long as they can limit numbers and maintain physical distancing.
All places of worship in Ontario will also be permitted to open with attendance limited to no more than 30 per cent of the building capacity to ensure the safety of worshippers.
The list includes select personal and personal care services with the proper health and safety measures in place, including barber shops and hair salons, Beaches, outdoor splash pads and swimming pools, child care and summer camps.
Outdoor dine-in services at restaurants, bars and other establishments, including patios, curbside, parking lots and adjacent properties. The Ontario government will allow licensed restaurants and bars to temporarily extend outdoor patio spaces.
According to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, licensed establishments must ensure they have municipal approval and meet all other applicable requirements. 
Township staff said it is working with the Creemore BIA and other members of the Clearview business community in order to establish a process for patio expansion approval.
