Lions host 2019 Effective Speaking Competition

The Stayner Lions Club hosted its 2019 Effective Speaking Competition Feb. 21 with contestants from all Clearview Township Public Schools (Including SCI) plus Admiral Collingwood Public School. Six of the contestants competed in the Intermediate Class and six in the Junior Class. Speakers were (back row, from left): Leah Orlowski, Grace Baker, Scout Dennis, Rozlyn Kemp, Fisher Jackson (first Runner-up-Intermediate Class), Luke Millsap (Winner – Intermediate Class), Sam Foster (1st Runner-up Junior Class), Jaycee Gibson. (Front row) Shay Walker, Mackenzie Wice, Ruby McQueen (Winner – Junior Class), Lucy Butler. Congratulations and thank you to all the competitors this year. The topics were informative, entertaining and well presented. The class winners will be going on to the Lions Regional Speak-Off in Elmvale on March 2. If either of them is unable to participate, the 1st Runner-up in their class will take their place.
