Llama on the loose and roaming goats

Tina the llama caused a bit of a stir Jan. 9 when she went for a stroll on County Road 9 between Creemore and Dunedin.

Motorists anxious to see her returned home safely reported the llama sighting to The Creemore Echo and the fire department.

The Metherals quickly claimed the escaped animal and worked to get her home.

Jodie Metheral commented that the high snow allows her to walk right over the fence.

Later that day, an Airport Road resident called to report a herd of about eight goats roaming his property, south of Banda. It is believed they returned home of their own accord.
