McCarthy, John Norman “Jack”

John Norman “Jack” McCarthy of Brentwood, ON, passed away peacefully (with his family by his side) at Matthews House Hospice in Alliston, on Friday, September 15th, 2017 in his 99th year.  World War 2 Veteran, dedicated Knights of Columbus member and Life member of the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch #516-New Lowell, ON).

Beloved Husband of the late Helen Elizabeth (nee: Magnusson). Loving Father of Rick (Sandi), Debra Claridge (John), Lawrence (Pat) and James (Lori). Cherished Grandfather of Kevin, Krista, Danny, Tara, Laurel, Kelly, Scott, Shelby, Steve and Jenna. Loved Great-Grandfather of Leah, Jessie, Hailey, Easton, Lucas, Jack, Magnusson, Lily and Ethan. Predeceased by his Son Steven.

Jack will always be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his many relatives and friends.

Friends may pay their respects at THE STEVEN R. BRIDGE FUNERAL HOME, ANGUS, ON, on Monday, September, 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, September 19th at 11:00 a.m. Interment at  Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Brentwood. As expressions of sympathy, donations to  Matthews House Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
