Must protect our way of life

I was pleased to see the two letters in the last issue about our MP, Dr. Kellie Leitch and her timely ideas on Canadian values.

These letters prove that a full discussion is needed on this subject as their minority views need to be aired in a democracy where we all have a voice.

Over 67 per cent (and growing) of Canadians support her suggestions. For me the recently thwarted home grown terrorist attack in Ontario and the savage attacks in New York and New Jersey prove we must all be vigilant and willing to protect our country and our way of life by whatever means we have.

For the record I am a lifelong Conservative and consider our hard working MP Dr. Kellie Leitch a friend.
