Parade a wonderful start to the season

After seeing such an amazing Santa Claus Parade I was very hometown proud. The floats were so well decorated and the theme of them was easy to read in their personal presentations. The music and marching bands were impressive. I feel the highlights though were the participants in the parade. Three of them were Shawn Davidson’s bright Christmas suit, the sweet little calf that my neighbour and friend Brian Fox thought was a real deer and then the bulldog with the doggles on – yes, that is a real word meaning a dog with glasses on.

Santa was a good bonus and Fred Mills did great leading the parade in costume. My friend Kevin commented after seeing Collingwood and Stayner, Creemore was by far the best.

Early in the day was a well attended Breakfast with Santa at the local school and then we wandered the market at the Station on the Green – not much Christmas there but lots of great people strolling our town and enjoying the weather.

It was a very good way to start the festive season and get all in the mood to shop, bake, decorate and be with friends.

Linda Cockton,

Creemore.
