People looking a gift horse in the mouth

Have been away but keep updated on the TD property via friends and internet. While most people are genuinely excited about the generosity of the TD Bank and the effort by Tony Arrell and Stuart Lazier as they should be, I can’t help but think that there are still a number of people who are looking a gift horse in the mouth.
For example I am aware that a number of people are annoyed that the ATM does not have 24/7 access. The TD and Foodland are to be commended for the new arrangement which has the ATM in a clean well lit location with access from 7 to 8 most days, as many of us can still remember when to get cash you had to physically go into a bank and only between 10 to 3.
I am also aware of a number people who had alternative views on the use of the space which was gifted by TD to be used as community space,  and most of us now realize that having a bank in Creemore is not realistic in today’s business environment. The TD gift and the subsequent endowment to develop the green space are incredibly generous opportunities. The process put in place by Tony and Stuart was open, fair and inclusive to a fault, and is now in the capable hands of TD Lands Build Team chaired by Inese Bite and I have no doubt that the result will be something that we can all be excited and proud of.
The naysayers are in the minority but they are tainting what is a very special event for Creemore, they need to get onside, be positive, stop looking a gift horse in the mouth and embrace Creemore’s good fortune.
Allen B Clarke,
Creemore.
