Pop up photography show continues through July

Fine art photographer, Heidi Leverty and Bob Hyland have combined their talents for a Creemore pop up gallery for the month of July.
Leverty believes stepping out of the traditional gallery space allows her to stay connected to changing artistic landscape.
“My work changes and evolves as it must, because I am an artist, so how I engage those who view my art is also shifting. Giving art enthusiasts an unexpected experience will, I hope, arouse and amaze interest in, not only my work, but the creative process behind it. The opportunity to share space with Bob in his hometown is a good fit,” she said.
Since 1991, Leverty ’s work has been presented regularly in international and domestic galleries, magazines, and private collections. Pieces are included in the collection of the Canadian Foreign Affairs Department and featured at Canadian embassies in Seoul and Madrid. Leverty was chosen to represent Canada at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, China.
As a fine art photographer, Leverty pursues a body of work which is abstract in approach, but documentary in presentation. Focusing on capturing transient moments in the industrial world, in everyday objects, or in nature, she reveals the hidden excitement and extraordinary in what is often regarded as ‘the ordinary’.
The gallery at 151 Mill Street will be open Friday to Sunday until July 28. Visit heidileverty.com.
