Second Dufferin Oaks staff member tests positive

A second staff member at Dufferin Oaks Long Term Care Home in Shelburne has tested positive for COVID-19.  
Both staff members have not been onsite since first exhibiting symptoms and are currently isolating at home. Dufferin Oaks, a non-profit long term care home owned and operated by the County of Dufferin, is working closely with public health to identify any resident or staff that may have been in close contact with this staff member.
Dufferin Oaks has implemented stringent screening protocols, directing staff who are unwell in any way to not report to work. The unit has been closed and all residents are self-isolating in their rooms.
Dufferin Oaks is following the guidance of public health by isolating residents in the impacted units; taking temperatures of all residents and staff; all staff are required to wear surgical masks and other protective equipment.
