Tim Hortons is hosting its annual Smile Cookie campaign from Sept. 14-20, when all proceeds from the sale of $1 smiley face chocolate chip cookies will go to charity. In Clearview, sales at the Sunnidale Corners location will go to the Georgian Triangle Humane Society (GTHS). Last year’s campaign raised $2,049 for the GTHS.
“The Georgian Triangle Humane Society is proud to be the exclusive recipient for the Smile Cookie campaign at Tim Hortons Sunnidale Corners again this year. We are extremely thankful to Ann Murphy and her team for their continued support of pets and people. Last year, Ann even adopted one of our beautiful Northern transfer pups. We live in an amazing community and we can’t wait to connect with our local supporters,” said Sonya Reichel, GTHS executive director.
GTHS is one of 550 Canadian charities, hospitals and community programs supported through the annual campaign. The Smile Cookie Campaign began in 1996 to help raise funds for the Hamilton Children’s Hospital in Ontario. In 2019, the Smile Cookie campaign raised a record $9.8 million across Canada.
Sales at Cashtown Corners and Stayner will go to the Eat Well to Excel programs at elementary schools in Creemore, New Lowell and Stayner.
