Stayner Heritage Society hosts Remembrance Day event

This Saturday, Nov. 5, Stayner Heritage Society is hosting its eighth annual Remembrance Day Event at 9:15 a.m.

Admission costs $5 and includes a continental breakfast.

The guest speaker is Simon Beekhuizen, who was 10 years old during the war and recently presented a pair of wooden shoes to the museum in Ottawa. Also, SCI students talk about their trip to Vimy, there will be a showing of the “Stayner Heroes” video, about those who served and/or are serving in the military and some music.

The event is sponsored by The Stayner Heritage Society and takes place at Jubilee Presbyterian Church, 7320 Main Street East, Stayner.
