Two charged with defrauding senior

Police have charged two men in relation to the defrauding of a Clearview Township senior. 

On January 25, Huronia West OPP responded to a report that an elderly woman had been defrauded out of several thousands of dollars.

After a lengthy investigation, they have arrested and charged Ralph Link, of Barrie, with theft by person holding power of attorney, misappropriation of money held under direction, criminal breach of trust and fraud over $5,000. He is to appear in Collingwood court on Dec. 11 to answer to the charges.

Additionally Marcel Bottineau, of Midland, also involved in the incidents, was charged with two counts of theft over $5,000 and theft under $5,000. He appeared in bail court in Barrie on Nov. 1 for the charges.
