Voter endorses candidates

Citizens all: vote! Vote your mind and conscience. Let no one tell you how to vote. I can’t, but I can impart the candidates I favour, based on what I know or have heard of them. 

For mayor, Christopher Vanderkruys. His local roots go way back. His grandfather, a bridge builder, built over 300 bridges in Simcoe County. And Christopher has been involved in community matters since a very early age. Moreover he conducts council meetings in an intelligent and orderly manner. 

In Ward 1, Phyllis Dineen; women’s experiences are needed in decision-making. 

Ward 2, Doug McKechnie; as an Air Canada pilot for 37 years, he is imbued with care and responsibility. 

Ward 3, John Broderick. 

Ward 5, Thom Paterson, an honest and thoughtful person, devoted to his community and the public good. 

Ward 7, John Lamers.
