The fourth season of the six-team Creemore Sunday Night Hockey League came to a close last weekend, with Team Belarus beating Cashtown in the final game by a score of 9 to 6.

Points leader for the season was Jeff Fawcett, who notched 36 goals and 10 assists for a total of 46 points.

Winning the “Vezina Trophy” was Jeremy Van Severen, who posted a 2.77 Goals Against Average.

A final award, the Players Choice Award, was given to Brent Larose. According to league organizer Shawn Hughson, the Players Choice Award is chosen by asking all players to select one player from an opposing team who may not be a top scorer, but that they’d most want on their own team or that they find most difficult to play against. “These are the players who best represent who we want in our league,” said Hughson.
