RAY's Place holds employment info session May 9

 In News

Are you 14-18 years old and looking for summer employment?

In previous years, RAY’s Place has operated a work program to help youth find employment with local property owners.

This year, the program has changed. RAY’s Place will provide consulting services and seminars on how to start and operate your summer business. Sessions will include the benefits of operating a business, financial considerations, marketing and how to get customers, customer relations, services you can provide and job safety. Instead of working for and getting paid by RAY’s Place, youth interested in summer work will provide their services directly to the customer and be paid directly by them (no more $1 per hour deduction).

RAY’s Place has already held one session on how to start a business. A second session will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 9 at RAY’S Place.

Needless to say, whoever gets started first is most likely to get the customers- so don’t delay; call today!

Parents are encouraged to participate.

To register, call 705-466-6336 today and leave your name, telephone number and e-mail. Personal information will be kept confidential.
