Cybergnomes launch Lego Club

 In News

The Cybergnomes are organizing a new Lego Robotics Club for ages 6-12 at the Stayner Community Centre.

Work with members of the Clearview Cybergnomes Robotics Team to create and program Lego Mindstorm robots to complete exciting tasks. Also, work as part of a team to come up with a creative way to solve a real world problem.

The program promises to be a fun, rewarding experience for all and will give children a chance to try something new and exciting in their community. Everyone will have the opportunity to make new friends, have new experiences and ultimately have the chance to build a robot. It will feature a full curriculum packed to the brim with fun, rewarding activities that not only teach you valuable skills, but give you important life lessons as well.

The Cybergnomes hope to turn this program into a First Lego League team, where children will have the opportunity to compete in various competitions across Ontario.

This club will meet on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for eight weeks in the summer beginning on a date that has yet to be confirmed. The cost is $25.

Anyone interested is asked to contact Donna Lawson at Kewlmom_36@yahoo.com or 705-716-2260.
