Clearview Township has announced The Spoons will play a free concert, headlining the Clearview Arts Festival in Stayner on July 18.

Formerly known as Art in the Park, the festival will showcase 30 local and regional artists and performers along with local food, beginning at 9 a.m.

Performers will be on the main stage at Station Park, from noon until 9 p.m., including local dance clubs and musicians.

At 7:30 p.m. the entertainment will be kicking it up a notch with a performance by The Spoons, opened by the Jason Redman Band, said organizers. The outdoor show is free and has a licensed area.

“The Spoons were the band of the 80s and loved by all. Now is your chance to see them live for free close to home. The small band from Burlington, Ontario took the world by storm and is ready to take the Clearview Art Festival to a whole new level. You will remember The Spoons from their hits Nova Heart, Romantic Traffic, Old Emotions and Tell No Lies,” states a news release.
