Norm Foster play premiers at Theatre Orangeville

David Nairn and Norm Foster team up once again in Theatre Orangeville’s world premiere production of Jonas & Barry In The Home.

Nairn and Foster star as two newfound friends navigating uncharted territory; assisted living. Retired dentist Barry Butterfield is unsure of what to do with his days at Gateway Gardens. Meanwhile, retired stage actor Jonas spends his days wooing women in the home. There’s no telling what kind of trouble these two friends will get into as they embrace life as retirees.

Foster is a Canadian playwright born in Newmarket. Foster studied Radio and Television Arts at Centennial College in Toronto. Upon graduating, Foster began a radio career that would span 25 years and take him across the country. In 1980, Foster was introduced to the world of theatre by a friend and quickly fell in love with it. Two years later, Foster penned his first professionally produced play Sinners. Today, Foster’s plays receive an average of 150 productions annually, making him the most produced playwright in Canada.

Jonas & Barry In The Home runs until Nov. 1. Tickets can be purchased online at theatreorangeville.ca and by calling 519-942-3423 or 1-800-424-1295.
