Police collect winter clothing for children

 In Community

During the month of November, Huronia West OPP is collecting winter coats and apparel for children in need.

The goal is to collect 100 clean, good quality, gently used winter coats and other winter clothing such as mitts, gloves, hats, toques and scarves to be re-distributed to those youth in our community that need them.

“Our winters can be hard, but that should not make it hard for your youth to enjoy being kids,” said Huronia West OPP detachment commander Insp. Kevin Hunter.

So if you have clean good quality, gently used winter coats or winter clothing you no longer need, please think of others and not the land fill site and donate them to us to re-use in the community.

Donations can be made during regular business hours at the main office in Wasaga Beach or offices in Minesing and Stayner or by contacting Const. Mark Kinney at mark.kinney@opp.ca.
