Ruttan, Gail Marie

It is with great sadness that the family of Gail Marie (Scott) Ruttan announce her sudden passing on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at Collingwood Hospital after suffering a stroke.

Gail, who was born June 10, 1941, will be sadly missed by David Ruttan, her husband and friend of more than 50 years.

Gail was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Hazel Scott, younger brother Wayne, and brother-in-law, Bill Livingston.

Gail is mourned by her sister Helen Wickens (Bill Clark), sister-in-law Lynda (Glenn) Scott-Harper, and Dave’s siblings: Cavelle (Doug) Rodgerson, Port Moody, BC; Betty Anne (Al) Heafey, New Hamburg; Wayne (Debbie) Ruttan, Priceville; Garry (Sheila) Ruttan, New Hamburg; and Peggy (Dave) Harris, Wilcox Lake, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Gail will also be missed by Jason Ferguson, their friend and helper for almost 30 years, and Levi, the last of many farm pets.

At Gail’s request, there will not be a funeral service, but rather a Celebration of Life at a later date.
