Township of two appeals
A pre-hearing for the Township of Clearview’s appeal of the Niagara Escarpment Commission’s decision to deny a permit to reconstruct 26/27 Sideroad will take place at town hall in Stayner on March 11.
The hearing itself is scheduled for May 2, also at town hall.
In the meantime, at its January meeting the NEC has agreed to issue a permit to upgrade the 10th Concession.
Both permits were filed in relation to the closure of a portion of County Road 91 with regard to the expansion of the Duntroon quarry.
Also with the Environment and Land Tribunal, six parties have filed an appeal against the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change’s approval of wpd’s Fairview Wind Project. Appeals have been submitted by the Township of Clearview, the Town of Collingwood, the County of Simcoe, Preserve Clearview, the Wiggins and Elwoods.
