Big Heart Seniors Sept. 29
We are still playing cards in the large room and I suspect that will continue for a couple more weeks.
Thank you to Alinda and Art Bishop for candy and Karl and Alma Seifert for playing cards.
We had 41 members out to cards and 50/50 draws were won by Dave Smith, Marcia Cameron, Ray Leighton, Alinda Bishop, Ruby Klinck, Ray Broad, and Wayne Riddall.
Wayne has been with us before and hopefully is back to stay.
Seven Moon Shots were played by Effie Taylor, Jim Rigney, Karl Seifert, Roy Veinot, Leona Hartling, Sherrry Lohnes and the travel prize went to Janice Stephens.
Winners at cards were Edith Atkinson, 279; Marj Thomson, 271; Karl Seifert, 270; Janice Stephens, 264; with low to Pat Winger, 61. The lucky chair winner was Edith Atkinson.
This week was our bus trip to Rama and the winners of the 50/50 draws on the bus were Lynda Danick and Phyllis Seed.
A doctor had been seeing an 80-year-old for most of her life and since the doctor was retiring the new young doctor asked that she bring all medication and was very surprised to notice that she had prescriptions for birth control. Mrs. Smith you do realize these are for birth control. Yes they help me sleep at night. Doc said there is absolutely nothing to make you sleep in these pills. She patted him on the leg and said yes dear I know that, but every morning I grind one of these into a glass of orange juice that my granddaughter drinks and that helps me sleep just fine.
Remember: A mother wrote, my child having autism doesn’t change the way I feel about him. The way you treat him changes the way I feel about you.
