Clearview residents reimbursed half cost of Collingwood library card
Clearview Township residents who wish to use the Collingwood Public Library will be reimbursed for half of the cost, thanks to a new regional library service plan.
Council approved the plan Monday after many discussions.
Councillor Doug Measures has been advocating for such a plan, saying many Nottawa residents prefer to borrow library materials from that library as it is more convenient.
Clearview Library CEO Jennifer La Chapelle reported Collingwood Public Library’s non-resident annual membership fee is $110 per. She said Collingwood Public Library has advised that 99 Clearview Township residents currently pay for memberships.
The Regional Library Service Plan states that members in good standing to be reimbursed for 50 per cent of the amount for a membership to the Collingwood Public Library (one family membership, per Clearview Township household).
