Mountford, Mary Matilda

Mary Matilda Mountford (Patton) passed away peacefully after a brief illness at 95 years of age. Predeceased by husbands Arthur Mountford, and Maurice Patton. Dear mother of Betty Stephenson (Bob), Sharron Bellamy (Bill), Linda Dunstan (Orley), Roger Patton (Patricia), Kathy Connor (John), Judy Patton (Bob), and Helen Caulfield. Dear grandmother of Brian, (Blair, Brent both deceased), Christina, Hayley, Jared, Michael, Diane, Philip, D’Arcy, and Brendan. Great grandchildren Kennedy, Kieran, and Elijah. Survived by brother Jim Ferguson (Marjorie). Predeceased by sister’s Irene, Hilda; brothers Archie, Alburn, and Joseph. Born on a farm near Glen Huron, Mary continued that lifestyle with her husband Maurice, raising a family near Glencairn. She had many outside active interests including quilting, curling, golfing, U.C.W. activities, gardening, and travelling. Mary enjoyed many winters in sunny Florida with family and friends leading a very active social life while there. Thank You to her Doctors, nurses, and staff at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia during her short stay. Family and friends were received at Fawcett Funeral Home – Creemore Chapel on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Funeral service was held at St. John’s United Church on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.
