Ayton-Lee, Daniel

 In Obituaries

On February 22, 2017, Dan Ayton-Lee, at the young age of 36, lost his battle with cancer. He was a master fisher, having worked the local rivers and streams since his childhood. The banks of the Mad and Noisy rivers were his early home where he perfected his craft, reading river environments and interpreting fish behaviour. He became a partner with his lifelong friend Ryan in “We Pound ‘Em” fishing charters, winning derbies and accolades for his innate knowledge and preternatural ability to locate fish. Dan was like a 21st Century Tom Sawyer. He will be missed by his family and many friends. There will be a Celebration of Life for Dan at the Creativity Art Retreat on the banks of the Noisy River in Dunedin, Ontario, April 29, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
