Farm worker trapped in combine

On Saturday, Oct. 21 at approximately 2:49 p.m., Dufferin OPP along with Dufferin EMS and the Honeywood Fire Department responded to a report of a farm related accident on the 3rd Line of Melancthon.

A preliminary Investigation at the scene by the OPP has determined that a male employee became trapped inside a Potato Combine and sustained serious injuries to his legs.

At 3:28 p.m., the male was extricated from the combine by the Honeywood Fire Department personnel on scene with assistance of Dufferin EMS and Dufferin OPP.

Once stabilized, the injured worker was flown to an area hospital by ORNGE Air Ambulance with severe life altering injuries, but is reported to be in stable condition.
