Conservatives elect candidate March 24

The Simcoe-Grey Conservative Electoral District Association has called a nomination meeting for March 24 when four candidates will vie for the chance to be on the ballot in the next federal election.

In addition to Collingwood area doctor Gillian Yeates and Essa Township Mayor Terry Dowdall, New Tecumseth council member Marc Biss and Collingwood insurance agent Tim Bulmer are also seeking the nomination.

MP Kellie Leitch has said she is not seeking re-election.

The nomination meeting will take place at the high school in Stayner throughout the day on Saturday, March 24.
