Loranger 2-0-0

McDougall 1-0-1

Lambert 1-1-0

Martens  1-2-0

Steed 0-2-1

From The Hack: Due to the miserable road conditions on Monday, curling was called off! On Wednesday Team Martens had their regular skip back and managed a relatively close win against Team Steed. The time away didn’t bother Bill much as he was right on with both draw and take-out weight. On sheet 2, Team Loranger’s front end made some fabulous draw shots to setup and secure a win over Team Lambert. Congratulations go out to Marilyn and her team, who pulled off a win at the Stayner Curling Club, this past weekend. (2 years running!). Thanks for the cookies Doug! Good curling everyone!

Ladies

Winter weather kept the Ladies from curling on Monday. The game has been rescheduled as they begin the quest for the Husker House Trophy.

It will be a Vice-Skip round with the vices in the skip role.

Did you know?…That in April 1912, the ice surface of the Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax Nova Scotia, became a temporary morgue to allow identification of over 300 casualties of the Titanic.

Still going strong, Team Nova Scotia, skipped by Jill Brothers from the recent Scotties Tournament of Hearts, curl at the Mayflower.

From The Hack: The final round of play for the season is now well under way with newly formed teams proving to be quite competitive. This round of curling, better known as the vice skip round is played for the Paul and Glenn Millsap Trophy. Players who have previously been playing in other positions move to skip while those who have played as skip move to other positions. Now it’s their turn to “Hurry Hard” and sweep while the new skips get to try their hand at calling the game. We should be in for a fun round of curling.
