No-parking zone approved for Concession 10

A bylaw was passed Monday bring into effect a no-parking zone on Concession 10 Nottawasaga.

The zone goes from County Road 124 to a point 175 metres north on the east side of the road, and from County Road 124 to a point 50 metres north on the west side.

Clearview council first addressed congestion at the intersection in November when a complaint was received because it was impassable with large farm equipment. Concession 10 has become a popular parking area for people who rock climb in the area, and some other outdoor enthusiasts.

“The issue with parking arises when motorists park on both the east and west sides of the road making the road too narrow to permit two-way travel and large farm equipment to pass,” reported staff.
