Escarpment Corridor Alliance has endorsed Simcoe-Grey candidate Brian Saunderson, noting he is the only PC candidate on their list.

Saunderson received an overall A-, the highest ranking issued by the ECA, with the group noting his personal commitment to protecting the escarpment, wetlands, and headwaters in our riding, and getting his support of ECA’s mission on the record.

The Alliance is pleased with Saunderson’s position on development, preferring densification to deforestation as discussed in a video posted to the Escarpment Corridor Alliance Facbook page.

“We are grateful to each candidate for offering new ideas for their ridings and discussing their visions with ECA members,” said George Knowles, an ECA director. “We are especially supportive of Brian Saunderson’s personal commitment to the environment and sustainability along the Escarpment.”

He said Saunderson demonstrated a strong environmental record while on municipal council, and the ECA hopes to work with him to achieve its goals for the region.

The Escarpment Corridor Alliance is an advocacy group that launched in March with the goal of protecting key outdoor destinations along the escarpment from development, specifically Talisman and Castle Glen.
