Single vehicle crash causes power outage
A single vehicle accident last week left many Clearview residents without power for several hours.
Huronia West OPP report that shortly after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29th a diesel pickup truck driven by Dean Tyson of Stayner was attempting to pass a garbage truck on County Road 42 near the 21/22 Sideroad of Nottawasaga. The driver lost control on wet pavement and left the roadway, striking a hydro pole. Hydro crews were dispatched to the scene to replace the damaged pole. The resulting power outage left 3,843 Hydro One customers without power from 11 a.m. until shortly after 3 p.m.
OPP say no charges have been laid.
