Cardinals 9U had their final home game of the season on July 26, and it was a good one.

Going out with a bang, they secured their first win of the season with an impressive 16-11 victory over Stayner.

Infield efforts from Everett, Noah, Griffin, Adair, Ziggy, and Si provided two key shut-out innings.

Bats were on fire starting with lead off hitter Theo, and big time contributions from Seth, Easton and Christien.

Down two runs going into the fifth inning, Creemore exploded with an

epic 10-run bat-around inning to secure the win.

Although every player was great in this one, the player of the game was Everett who fearlessly stopped a line drive off his foot and shocked the crowd by limping to the loose ball, somehow making the out.

This team and all its players have come so far this season. They have shown how far hard work and dedication will take you.

Coach Matt, and helpers Caroline, Ryan, and Bill are all so proud. Great job everyone, you deserve this win!
