Registration open for Canada Day parade in Stayner

Registration for the Canada Day parade in Stayner, hosted by the Central Ontario ATV Club, is now open.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the July 1 parade on Highway 26, starting at 10:30 a.m., travelling from the Stayner Arena to Station Park.

There will be many activities on and leading up to the township-wide celebration.

Businesses are encouraged to decorate their windows, offices, vehicles, and themselves for the Clearview Chamber of Commerce’s best-dressed contest. Email photos to clearviewchamber@gmail.com for a chance to win a 2024 membership.

In Creemore, there will be activities from 9:30 a.m. including a street hockey tournament, bike parade, children’s activities, pie contest, demonstrations, barbecue, magic show, and live music, all leading up to fireworks at dusk.

Canada Day activities in Clearview

The Canada Day Celebrations will take place throughout Clearview and in these communities: Creemore, Stayner and New Lowell.

Best-Dressed Contest

Leading up to Canada Day, businesses are encouraged to participate by decorating their businesses whether it be store front window, office, business vehicle, or you and your staffing crew and take part in the Clearview Chamber of Commerce Best-Dressed Contest. Snap a picture and email to clearviewchamber@gmail.comemail. Win a 2024 Chamber Membership!

Geocaching

There are 18 geocaches hidden throughout Clearview Township. This week, there will be Canada Flag pins in the containers. Find the geocaches and keep the pins. You can wear them proudly at events or share the pins with friends and family.

Red & White Market Nights

Music, Market and Park It – Thursday June 29, 4:30PM-7:30PM and Live Music featuring Baytown Big Band from 7PM-9PM. Located at the Station Park, 7259 Highway 26 in Stayner. The Heritage & Information Centre is open from 4PM-8PM. Enjoy classic cars, fresh farm products, food vendors, artisans and more! The Kinsmen Bar will be serving local beer and cider. Bring your lawn chair and settle in for an evening of fun to celebrate Canada Day!

Clearview’s Canada Day Parade, July 1

Everyone is welcome to watch the decorated floats and community partners march on Highway 26 in Stayner, starting at 10:30AM. Special thanks to the volunteers from the Central Ontario ATV Club (COATV) for hosting the Clearview Canada Day Parade. The Parade line up starts at 9:00 am at Stayner Arena and parade is to start at 10:30 am and end at the Station Park. Pre register on or before June 25th, 2023.

Township staff is still seeking an organization or group of volunteers to host the Canada Day events in Stayner. Please email Amanda Murray at amurray@clearview.caemail if you are interested! Stayner Centennial Pool, 255 Oak St., in Stayner – Free public swim, 12PM-2PM; Free family swim, 2PM-4PM and Free public swim, 4PM-6PM.

Creemore BIA & Creemore Legion

Celebrations at the Creemore Legion, 27 Wellington St W. include the Lunch and BBQ, starting at 11AM and watch the Street Hockey Tournament. There will be Children’s Activities at 1PM. Hop on your decorated bike and take part in the Bike Parade starting at 1PM at the Mad River Park. CDon’t miss the Steve Baker Magic Show at 8PM, live music by Hogback Road, and Fireworks at 9:45PM at the Creemore Arena.

Street Hockey Tournament

Hosted by the Station 4 (Creemore) – Clearview Fire Department, the annual Street Hockey Tournament is open to all ages. Pay $10.00 registration fee. Sign up in advance by emailing creemoreffa@gmail.comemail or call 705-888-8903.
