Collingwood Leisure Time Club hosts senior seminar series

 In Community

The Collingwood Leisure Time Club will be hosting a free, monthly seminar series beginning this September, open to older adults in the community. Seminars will cover a variety of topics and include a light lunch.

Local experts will share information with attendees on areas of interest that impact older adults. Presentations will run for approximately 60 minutes and will provide information to build understanding and offer practical suggestions.

The Collingwood Leisure Time Club Seminar Series has been made possible by the Government of Ontario, Seniors Community Grant.

“Ontario’s seniors are the province’s fastest growing demographic, and they are to be celebrated for the contributions they have made to our communities. It is important that our seniors know we are working hard to provide them with grants such as this one, that will be used by the Collingwood Leisure Time Club to provide opportunities to keep our seniors active, safe and socially connected close to their home,” said Brian Saunderson, MPP for Simcoe-Grey. “I want to recognize and thank the dedicated team of volunteers who manage and operate the centre and those who deliver quality programming that makes a big difference in the lives of seniors in Collingwood and the surrounding area.”
