LLOYD, Nawton Samuel
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nawton Lloyd on Oct. 26, 2023 at Dufferin Oaks with the comfort of his family at his side. Born in Mulmur to Raymond and Olive Lloyd, Nawton spent his life working, living and enjoying life on River Road building ponds and lasting friendships around every bend in the road. Nawton was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend. He always supported family through both achievement and struggle. He genuinely enjoyed helping people and readily shared his eclectic collection of abilities and experience with others. Always up for a chat, it was natural that Nawton’s work and personal lives were intertwined and he remains highly respected by the River Road community. Nawton was predeceased by Connie (Dickenson) his wife of 50 years and his sisters Nora and Elva. He is survived by his sons Mark and Bill (Meghan), grandson Kyle, sister Stella (Fred) and brothers Jim (Beatrice) and Gordon (Pat). The family would like to recognize the PSWs, nursing, activation and administrative staff at Dufferin Oaks for the compassionate care provided to their “Captain Love Boat” over the last three and a half years. The family requests that any donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario or Dufferin Oaks Home Auxiliary. Nawton is resting peacefully beside the love of his life in Horning’s Mills Cemetery. Online condolences may be placed at www.jackandthompsonfuneralhome.com.
